Nangi Proud

What are you proud of?

While living and working in a deserted mountain village in Nangi, where I was engaged in repotting medicinal plants, I saw how a team committed to a good cause came to the village and installed solar panels in two days, and within no time started photographing everyone like a whirlwind without any interaction or understanding of the people living there and what was keeping them busy in their daily lives.

That was the start of my project ‘Nangi Proud’. I have dedicated this series to the simple question: what are you proud of? This simple question led me to all sorts of places and festivities in the rural area. From a beautiful viewpoint, to a fishing pond, or I was warmly welcomed into homes and shown locally considered exquisite delicacies such as rabbit.
